2Background and Aim: Traditional medicine (TM) or complementary medicine is an old method based on culture, which has been developed in various forms of indigenous therapeutic methods in different societies. This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the publication trend and visualizing the Scientific Structure of TM. Materials and Methods: This study was carried out with a scientometric approach. The statistical population included 29,852 documents indexed in the TM field at the WoS database during the period of 2012 to 2020. The Excel and VOSviewer software were used for data analysis. Results: The findings showed that the Scientific outputs of TM during the period studied had had an upward trend with 343,700 citations. Two universities in South Korea, namely Kyung Hee University and Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine (KIOM), had had the largest number of publications in this field. Further analysis of the data revealed that the highest levels of cooperation occurred between China and the US (565 cooperations), followed by China and Australia (253 cooperations) and China and the UK (134 cooperations). Finally Iran was found globally to have ranked fourth as regards TM publications and to be the most highly specialized country (in terms of RSI) in this field. This would necessitate more attention to appropriate Scientific policy-making on the part of the responsible officials. Conclusion: The cumulative frequency of publications in the field of traditional medicine in 2030 will be twice that in 2020. This trend would require special attention in Scientific policy-making.

Background and Aim: Road injuries are one of the most important public health problems and the leading cause of death and injury all over the world. The aim of this study is to investigate the trend of publication in the domain of road incidents and injuries and to visualize its Scientific Structure. Materials and Methods: The present study is of scientometric type, its method is cross-sectional, and it was done during the period of 2005-2018. A total of 6563 records of road accidents and injuries were selected as the statistical population. The data collection tool was the Web of Science database and the HistCite software was used to visualize the Scientific Structure. Results: The United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom ranked first to third with the production of 927, 700, and 651 documents, and the records of these three countries received 26373, 24447, and 23733 citations, respectively. Besides, the rank of road accidents and injuries for these countries were 89, 115, and 132, and the rate of casualties per 100, 000 populations was equal to 10. 6, 4. 5, and 2. 9. On the other hand, Libya, Thailand and Malawi (in South-Eastern Africa) are ranked first to third in the areas under study. The number of publications of these three countries was 5, 58 and 18, and their rank in document publications was 100, 34 and 65, respectively. Conclusion: The relationship between rank in publications and rank in road accidents was negative and significant; countries with higher publications had a lower rank in road accidents and injuries. This indicates an inverse relationship between the number of publications and the number of road injuries; This means that as the number of publications in this field increases, the rank in injuries will improve. It seems that one of the factors that may be effective in reducing injuries and road accidents is the serious intervention of researchers to conduct research in this area in order to raising awareness and create a traffic culture for citizens.

Abstract:

The present study was conducted to analyze the Scientific Collaboration Networks and Visualization the science map of papers on the subject of audit fees published in the journals approved by the MSRT. This research is of applied type and has been done by using co-occurrence analysis of words (network analysis, Co-Word, and Co-authorship). The research community is formed by245papers published from 2003-2022, which were analyzed and visualized using VOSviewer, Ucinet, and BibExcel software. The results showed that between 2019&2021, with the publication of108papers(44%), there was a revolution in the publication of audit fees research in Iran, and the Scientific journal of professional audit research, with23%of published papers on this topic, had the greatest tendency to audit fees. The writing confusion and diversity in the Persian language have led to the use of49written and semantic equivalents for audit fees in previous researches, which warns of the necessity of its optimization by journals and researchers. Co-Word analysis indicates that998keywords are used in the articles, after audit fees(193), the most frequent words are audit quality(34), audit risk(21), and abnormal audit fee(21). The keywords audit quality and audit risk with 24&20co-occurrences had the highest co-occurrence with audit fees. The analysis of co-authorship shows the existence of643authorship roles in papers on the topic of audit fees, and Ali Vaez and Vali Khodadadi with11&10papers published, and the ShahidChamran University and Ferdowsi University with68&44 repetitions of organizational affiliation among authors can be considered as the most specialized researchers and organizations among others. There was the most co-writing between Mostafa Abdi and Mahdi Kazemi with5duo collaborations.

Abstract:

Purpose: One of the most important Scientific components is the Scientific productivity of authors. This concept, which does not have a clear definition in the literature, has been investigated in various researches. Also, the review of the literature shows the dispersion of the subject in this field. From the individual and personality characteristics of the authors to the role of environmental and social issues on Scientific productivity, attention has been paid in this field. It is not known, correctly, what is the emphasis of the related literature? And which are the trends and the hot topics of this field? So, the main goal of the present study was to investigate and illustrate trends and hot topics that pertain to authors’ Scientific productivity.Methodology: The current research is practical in terms of purpose and has been carried out with a scientometric approach using knowledge mapping. To achieve this, 6482 publications from 2000 to 2022 were extracted from the Web of Science Core Collection database and analyzed using CiteSpace Software (Advanced version). In alignment with the study's objective, keyword co-occurrence (to identify clusters), betweenness centrality (to pinpoint research frontiers), and citation burstness (to highlight significant works, hot topics, and keywords in specific periods) indicators were utilized. Additionally, clustering was conducted. Finally, the historical developments and milestones of this field were analyzed through a timeline view.Findings: Findings showed that out of the data extracted, 11 clusters with a density of 0.0438 and a harmonic mean of 0.4938 were identified - which indicates weak interconnections in the network. The most important clusters were “h-Index” (size=284), “gender” (size=244), and “research effects” (size=202). Other clusters related to authors’ Scientific productivity included “technology transfer”, “social work education”, “social network analysis”, “academic promotion”, “incentive Structure”, “references”, “teamwork”, and “scientometric analysis” based on their sizes. Hirsch’s work in 2005, with a value of 0.27, held the highest betweenness centrality. An analysis of works' citation burstiness suggested that the works in the Scientific productivity domain had experienced two citation burstiness periods: the first period involved the presentation and evaluation of the “h-Index” (from 2000 to 2012), and the second period focused on the evaluation and development of “existing tools” to assess authors’ Scientific productivity (from 2012 to 2022). The hot topics under study were “evaluating academic communities” (2000-2002), “authors’ ranking indicators” (2002-2018), and “knowledge exchange” (2018-2022). The subject of “knowledge exchange”, a new issue, focuses on international interactions, communications, and the social and economic effects of literature (in addition to their Scientific effects). The history of authors’ Scientific productivity began with Lotka's rule of works’ creators’ Scientific productivity, followed by the introduction of “citations” as one of the most important evaluation criteria for authors’ Scientific productivity, developed by Garfield. In addition to Hirsch’s work, other approaches, such as “mapping of science” software and “gender inequalities”, were used to trace the historical developments of Scientific productivity. Conclusion: According to the findings of the present research, the H-index remains the most crucial index for evaluating the Scientific productivity of authors. Despite some flaws, this index claims to measure both the impact and quantity of Scientific productivity of authors and is widely accepted by the Scientific community. It indicates that as the number of works increases, the likelihood of receiving citations also increases, leading to enhanced Scientific productivity. Given that the Scientific productivity of authors, researchers, and university faculty members is vital for employment, it is imperative to enhance academic and Scientific positions during employment processes. The results of this study could provide assistance to experts and researchers alike.

Abstract:

Nowadays, bibliometrics has been an interdisciplinary field with all Scientific fields as its scope. The present study is related to the scientometric study of articles in information retrieval produced in Iran from the beginning of the topic in Persian papers to 2019. This research was an applied research which has been done using scientometric techniques such as citation analysis and co-word analysis. The data required for this research have been extracted from the "Islamic World Science Citation" database. The statistical population was 395 articles in the field of information retrieval, which was analyzed using "BibExcel," "VOSviewer," and " Excel" software packages. Some inconsistencies in author names and keywords have been tried to be unified. There was an increasing trend in published papers and received citations. Highly-cited and most influential authors in the field are well-known in the field. "Rahmatullah Fattahi" is in the first place with 11 articles and 16 citations. 77.72% of the articles have been authored in groups (two or more authors) and the two-authored approach with 154 articles has the most co-authorship approach. Six hundred twenty-six authors participated in writing the articles, which were repeated 923 times in various articles. The largest co-authorship network consists of 27 nodes (authors). "Najla Hariry," "Farideh Osareh," and "Saeed Rezaei Sharifabadi" have the highest score in terms of the centrality of rank, intermediate, and closeness among other researchers, respectively. The keywords "information retrieval," "search engines" and "internet" were the most frequently used keywords in the field of information retrieval. The word pairs of "recall - retrieval accuracy" and "Internet - search engines" were the first and second most frequent pairs of co-occurring-word pairs, respectively. Thematic clustering of articles in this field indicates the existence of eight subject clusters: "search, processing and evaluation information," "Storage and retrieval in information systems," "information behavior," "indexing," "information management and Scientometrics," "search engines," "precision and recall" and "information literacy." Co-authorship network showed that authors in the field tended to author with collaborating each other. Considerable items on information retrival have been published in Persian The acceptance of the co-authorship approach in the production of Scientific works in information retrieval indicates the willingness of authors to write co-authored research. However, considering that 54.9% of the authors of this study did not receive the H index, the authors should make more efforts to produce quality articles. The largest cluster of this research is the "search, processing and evaluation information" cluster, which indicates the importance of this issue in information retrieval, and the smallest cluster is the "information literacy" cluster, which needs further research in this research field. The study helps authors identify hot topics and highly-considered subjects in information retrieval and provide a pattern for conducting scientometric analyses in similar fields.

Background and aim: Today, scientometrics is the main method of assessing and comparing the Scientific publications of countries, universities, Scientific institutions, specific subjects and authors. The aim of this study was to evaluate the Iranian Scientific outputs on thalassemia based on scientometric indicators. Material and methods: In this scientometric study, the social network analysis was used to investigate the co-authorship, word co-occurrence and collaborative coefficient. The study population included 476 articles on thalassemia, indexed in the Web of Science (WoS) from 2006 to 2016. Excel، Raver-matrix، SPSS19، UCINET 6/28، Netdraw 2/141 and VOSviewer were utilized for data analysis based on scientometric indicators. Findings: The growth rate (27. 94%) suggested that Scientific outputs on thalassemia had an increasing trend in the WoS. Mean collaborative coefficient was 0. 78, and the findings showed that there was a significant relationship between the number of authors and citations to each paper (p=0. 05). The Pearson correlation coefficient was 0. 650, indicating a direct and positive relationship among the studied variables. However, the co-authorship network of authors and institutes with density of 0. 006 and 0. 015 indicated low coherence of researchers' network in the field of thalassemia. Conclusion: In the field of thalassemia, both Scientific outputs and Scientific cooperation level have increasing trend, but compared to other fields, the collaborative network has no good coherence, and it is a great way to achieve the desired status.

Abstract:

Background: A key aspect of Scientific collaboration increases Scientific productivity. This study aimed to draw up a Scientific collaboration network of the Endocrinology and Metabolism Research Institute (EMRI) at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Methods: A Descriptive Cross-Sectional Study was conducted by the Scientometrics method. Data collection from the Scopus and Web of Science Core collection databases between 2002 until 30 October 2020. MS-Excel, HistCite, VOSviewer, and ScientoPy were used for descriptive statistics and data analysis. Results: A total of 4190 records with the affiliation of the EMRI are indexed in two international databases. All of the records received a sum of 89480 citations. The EMRI Researchers were published in 1118 journals. The annual growth rate of publication and citation of the Scientific output of the EMRI was 20. 3% and 22. 7%, respectively. A total of 17662 authors from 186 countries participated in the publication. The coauthorship pattern shows. The next section of the Study was classified and visualized based on authorship (institutes and country of affiliation), keywords (co-occurrence and trend). Conclusion: Overall, these results indicate that the pattern of collaborations in the authorships' articles increases the flow of knowledge among the institute's researchers as a result of international collaborations, interaction with leading countries, and interdisciplinary collaborations. To develop a full picture of coauthorship, additional studies will need a comprehensive picture of network cooperation to analyze the situation with other social network analysis indicators.
